Dr. Raffaele Dell'Amore has been with SIGLO since 2020 as a portfolio manager in ILS. He started his career at the reinsurer SCOR in 2009, where he was responsible for the actuarial analysis, among other things, for the aggregation and capital allocation of natural catastrophe risks at group level. At Deloitte AG, Switzerland, Raffaele worked between 2011 and 2013 in the area of financial risk management in advising primary insurance and reinsurance companies regarding capital requirements in the regulatory regime of Solvency II and the Swiss Solvency Test (SST) as well as the validation of internal natural catastrophe models. From 2013 he worked in various positions at Schroder-Secquaero, the last four years until 2019 as joint portfolio manager responsible for the investment decisions in the liquid and private ILS strategies. Before joining SIGLO, Raffaele was head of strategy and portfolio manager for private ILS portfolios and mandates at Twelve Capital AG. In this role he was responsible for the investment decisions and their outcome, as well as the strategic development of the Private ILS asset class. After studying physics at ETH Zurich, he completed his PhD in solid state physics at the University of Zurich in 2009. Raffaele is fluent in German, English, Italian and French.
